Starting therapy is a meaningful step. Here are answers to some common questions about the process.

  • I work with both couples and individuals.

Even in individual therapy, the work is relational. We look at the relationship you have with yourself—how you speak to yourself, how you see yourself, and how early experiences shaped what you came to believe about who you are. The goal is to build a steadier, more compassionate relationship with yourself. That becomes the foundation for how you relate to others, make choices, and move through your life.

  • I work with a range of relational concerns, including:

    • Recurring conflict and communication breakdown

    • Emotional or physical disconnection

    • Betrayal and trust repair

    • Family-of-origin and blended family dynamics

    • Divorce or relationship transitions

    • Anxiety, depression, and identity-related concerns description

  • I offer both in-person and virtual sessions for clients in Santa Monica. Virtual sessions are available throughout CA, NY and FL.

  • Individuals – $175 per session

    Couples – $200 per session

    (*Sessions last 50-60 minutes)

Payment is due at the time of service. I use a HIPAA compliant, secure platform to process all major credit cards.

  • I currently accept plans under the United Healthcare Umbrella. Insurance coverage may vary depending on your plan. I work through Alma, a platform that manages my billing, scheduling, and paperwork.

I can talk with you about insurance options before we begin.

It’s important to understand that using health insurance for therapy often requires a mental health diagnosis in order for services to be reimbursed.

There can also be privacy considerations when using insurance. In some situations—such as divorce, custody, or legal proceedings—using insurance may create a record that is less private than paying out of pocket.

We can discuss the risks and benefits together so you can make an informed choice.

  • I understand life can be unpredictable and plans can change abruptly. If you need to cancel your scheduled appointment for a non-emergency, I please do so at least 48 hours notice to avoid a full session cancellation fee.

Sessions cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time are billed at the full session fee. If you are using insurance, this means the amount I would have received from your insurance company.

If you have questions about this policy, we can talk through it before we begin.

  • The first session is an opportunity to understand what brings you in and what you are hoping for.

We will begin identifying the pattern you are experiencing and how it shows up between you and/or within you.

It is also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and whether this feels like a good fit.

  • Feeling hesitant is completely normal.

Therapy involves vulnerability and can bring up difficult emotions.

At the same time, it can be a space where you feel supported while also being challenged to grow.

Finding the right fit matters. I welcome open conversation about how the process feels for you, including concerns or moments where you feel misunderstood.

  • You can reach out through the contact form or send me an email / text to schedule a consultation.

We can begin by discussing what is bringing you in and whether this work feels like the right fit.
